Simon Whitmore
Co-Host of Did History (Actually) Teach Us Anything?
Simon has worked in education for over two decades, specialising in the risk management of outdoor activities. Somewhat unusually, he spends much of his time encouraging professionals to help children and young people engage with risk. Central to Simon’s work is the importance of educating future generations to understand and manage risk, instead of becoming averse to it. He combines qualifications in youth work, education and OSH to achieve a workable balance.
Still a passionate practitioner, Simon can often be found in the mountains, on rivers, or along coastal paths, practising what he preaches.
Simon Whitmore has hosted one Episode.
